Extended Access & Out of Hours

Non-urgent advice: Enhanced Access

Practices are now providing more patient appointments in the evenings and at weekends under the new enhanced access service from 1st October 2022. Enhanced access is available, Monday to Friday from 6:30pm to 8pm and on Saturdays from 9am to 5pm.

Your practice will be able to book you an appointment in any of the network practices or in a hub (you will still be registered with your practice). Appointment sessions are available for pre-booked appointments only.

Please note that walk-in appointments are not offered at the three access hubs, and only patients with pre-book appointments via their GP practice or NHS 111 will be seen.

Non-urgent advice: Extended Access

Out of hours services provide access to healthcare when GP surgeries are closed. Most GP surgeries operate between 8am to 6:30pm, and are often closed on weekends, bank holidays and educational sessions (please check your surgery operating times as not all are the same).

You can still access a GP up to 8pm on a weekday or from 8am to 8pm at the weekend by using the extended GP access service.

Please use the right service when you are ill. Only visit the A&E department in a critical or life threatening situation.

Non-urgent advice: NHS 111

Bromley out of hours services include the NHS 111 telephone service, GP appointments at one of three GP Access Hubs, extended GP services Urgent Care Centres and in the case of severe emergency A&E departments.
